Mt Derrimut road level crossing removal project was for a new rail over road bridge and construction of a new station for V/Line. The project scope was to build the bridge with retaining walls at each end and reinforced concrete columns to support the long concrete bridge sections. A 44-meter steel bridge was constructed to sit over Mt Derrimut Road.

DEC Projects services was engaged by McConnell Dowell for the Mt Derrimut Road TOC, with the project successfully being awarded the Western Program Alliance.

DEC Projects was involved to work on the project, with our Senior Project Engineer starting four months prior to the rail commissioning, then leading the project to bring civil packages to completion. Project scope included RE walls, online track formation and self-performing the road reconstruction post level crossing removal.
